Memo: P claims that he was approached by the D who misrepresented himself as an agent of a Chicago company, which is non-existent. D then said to P that he needed to raise some money for the freight costs of some agricultural implements his company had brought down from Chicago and was willing to discount a promissory note written to the company. P took the D up on his offer only to find out that the note was counterfeit. This has a deposition.
